David Guthrie is a multifaceted artist from Toronto, Canada, currently residing in Los Angeles. David’s work as an actor, writer, and director reflects a deep passion for storytelling and exploring the human condition. With a commitment to authentic narratives, he brings a unique perspective to every project he undertakes.
His love of cinema was forged at an early age, watching Star Wars on repeat at just eight years old. Captivated by the struggle of good versus evil and the fantastical elements of storytelling, he found his artistic voice early on. In university, David’s artistic journey took a unexpected and pivotal turn when he dropped out of aerospace engineering to pursue rock stardom, founding the indie rock band The Hemingway Solution – which lead to radio play and performing at hundreds of shows across North America. He was immediately hooked by the creative experience and developed a love for performing and collaborating with others. When the band ended, he turned his attention towards Hollywood and has never looked back.
