bio.

​​An experienced performer, David brings a diverse range of skills to his craft, bolstered by training at the Strasberg Institute and the esteemed Second City and UCB improv schools. He honed his craft on stage at the West End Studio Theatre in Oakville, portraying compelling characters such as Ludie in A Trip to Bountiful and Martin in Fool for Love. David also showcased his talent in the leading role of a TV pilot, Room&Bored, which he co-wrote and co-directed; the project was enthusiastically received when it premiered at the New York Television Festival.

 

For David, writing and performing go hand in hand, and he is driven by a passion for telling stories that convey authentic human experiences and inspire hope. He enjoys exploring themes of coming-of-age and the pursuit of greatness in his narratives. As a writer, he excels in comedy, action, fantasy, and sci-fi, with notable works including the sci-fi pilot Nightfall, which was an official selection at both the Catalyst Content Festival and the Lake Placid Film Festival. He also achieved quarter-finalist status at the Nicholl Fellowship for his action Western, Bloodlands.

 

In the director's chair, David helmed the mockumentary comedy series Beck and Call, which received a development deal with Channel Nine in Australia. His directing skills have been further honed with over a decade of experience as a story producer and editor, including work on the award nominated Discovery series Cold Water Cowboys, and the acclaimed comedy series Workin' Moms on CBC/Netflix.

Currently, David is working toward his goal of creating his own television show and is finishing the novels he started with his dad before his father’s untimely passing in 2022. This children's book series is a thrilling mystery tale, filled with magic and wonder, reflecting a legacy of creativity and storytelling.
